Corvette C10

Problem / Brief

A proportional study in heritage reinterpretation — exploring how the emotional DNA of the C-series Corvette Stingray could be evolved into a contemporary roadster without losing its essential character.

Research

Before a line was drawn, the C10 began as a forensic study of Corvette's generational DNA — identifying the proportional constants that persist across seven decades (1961, 1967, 1982, 2020). The long hood, short rear deck, and low roofline were treated as non-negotiable regardless of era; everything else was open.

Iterations

Storyboards explored the emotional contexts the car inhabits — a mountain pass, a coastal road at dusk — built around a single user narrative: the C10 is designed for someone who drives because they choose to, not because they have to. Design decisions around the open-top configuration, sight lines, and proportions were all informed by this user narrative.

Outcome

The C10 resolves the tension between nostalgia and relevance — a car that is unmistakably Corvette, and unmistakably new. Built for roads with no speed limits and skies with no ceilings.
